It seems the media, do not have a clue how to spin their way out of the current allegations made against the News of the World and the entire ’empire’ built up by Mr Murdoch and his ‘loyalist army’. Only yesterday, their main line of defense seemed to be- other media outlets may also be involved. Just imagine being brought before a Court of Law and arguing- there may well be others at it. We would all surely expect to be rebuffed and that would be just for starters.
But these are serious criminal allegations, and although the people being interviewed are clearly intellectually challenged, we should demand a full and transparent enquiry into these matters and they should be dealt with as possible criminal activity.
And finally in Libya, does it not seem odd that apparently we are protecting civilians whilst bombing them at the same time. And how can we afford it? Surely, it can’t really all be about oil and economics yet again.
